Virginia Department of Social Services – Refugee Resettlement
The goal of Virginia’s Refugee Resettlement Program is to help refugees and their families gain economic self-sufficiency and social integration into their communities. Website details benefits and social services available around the state of Virginia.
Mohawk Valley Resource Center For Refugees
The Mohawk Valley Resource Center for Refugees (MVRCR) assists refugees and immigrants, and individuals with limited English proficiency. MVRCR is partially accredited by the US Department of Justice and thereby authorized to represent clients before US Citizenship and Immigration Services and to complete immigration forms on clients’ behalf. MVRCR provides advocacy, counseling, information, processing, and referrals for citizenship and immigration issues. It has a refugee resettlement program in Utica that has resettled more than 15,000 individuals in the city since 1981.
The organization also provides interpretation and translation services and training in cultural competency (for interactions involving health care, education, government services, and more).
MVRCR seeks to help its clients achieve independence and self-sufficiency.
Catholic Community Services of Southern Arizona
Catholic Community Services of Souther Arizona provides resettlement assistance through transitional housing, short-term financial aid, transportation, English language classes, and job readiness training.

Bethany Christian Services – Refugee and Immigrant Services
Helps with refugee resettlement efforts in West Michigan, including pairing unaccompanied minors with foster families. Offers a transitional living facility for youths, as well as employment services, English language classes, transportation assistance, and mentoring opportunities. Additionally, provides counseling for victims of trauma, including coordinating medical and legal services.

St. Vincent Catholic Charities Refugee Services
St. Vincent Catholic Charities helps resettle refugees in the Lansing, Michigan and mid-Michigan areas. Services include locating affordable housing and providing food and basic necessities, as well as offering assistance with transportation, financial literacy, school enrollment, employment, and more. Refugee Services can also assist with applying for documents and U.S. State Department programs.
Asylee Women Enterprises
Provides transitional housing, companionship and community to asylum seekers by offering a safe and nurturing home and opportunities to connect with the larger community and each other. Programs include assisting with securing transitional housing, Employment and Education Program (with ESL, Resume Writing, Online Application Assistance, Interviewing Skills, and Basic Driver Education), Hospitality Hours, and referrals for legal, medical, and mental health services.

Refugee Focus
Refugee Focus is located in both Tucson & Phoenix, Arizona. Refugee Focus assists refugees with employment services such as resume writing, job applications, & interviews. Refugee Focus also offers refugees furnished housing, English Language training, & self sufficiency skills such as: cultural orientation, transit orientation, financial literacy, nutrition & cooking, health & wellness, safety, and technology orientation. Refugee Focus is a program of Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest.
Baltimore City Community College Refugee Assistance Program
Classes help students improve their English language ability, develop skills necessary to find employment, and function in their everyday English language environment. Additionally, RAP classes provide a supportive classroom environment with instructors who are able to respond to individual students’ language needs. RAP serves adult refugees and asylees who have lived in the U.S. for five years or less. RAP has culturally and professionally diverse staff and instructors that are motivated and committed to the success of the program’s students.
All classes are FREE for students through a grant from the Maryland Office for Refugees and Asylees. Classes are offered by Baltimore City Community College in Baltimore City and Catonsville, MD.

DC Office of Refugee Resettlement
The website lists eligibility requirements, which include possession of a qualifying I-94 by certain refugees, parolees, Cuban/Haitian entrants, and asylees. Qualifying unaccompanied minors enter the program by referral from the Lutheran Immigrant and Refugee Service (LIRS).
