The organization also connects unaccompanied refugee minors with foster and host families. Samaritas also provides a repatriation program, assisting with reception, housing placement, financial assistance, food, transportation, referral to medical/psychiatric evaluation, treatment.
St. Vincent Catholic Charities Refugee Services
St. Vincent Catholic Charities helps resettle refugees in the Lansing, Michigan and mid-Michigan areas. Services include locating affordable housing and providing food and basic necessities, as well as offering assistance with transportation, financial literacy, school enrollment, employment, and more. Refugee Services can also assist with applying for documents and U.S. State Department programs.
Michigan DHHS Refugee Assistance Program
Provides cash assistance to eligible refugees and asylees. Eligibility requirements are listed. Partners with other organizations to provide job, education, and health services and aid to elderly people and unaccompanied minors.

Central American Resource Center
CARECEN, the Central American Resource Center of Northern California, provides direct services and engages in community development and advocacy for the Latino immigrant community in San Francisco, the Bay Area, and beyond. Direct services include: free drop-in Immigration Services; Second Chance Tattoo Removal; Family Advocacy Programs for Latino immigrant families; health and wellness programs at the Kali K’íin community space. The Refugee Health Technical Assistance Center (RHTAC) is dedicated to improving the well-being of refugees by providing tools, resources, and support for health and mental health providers in order to better meet the needs of refugees in resettlement.
Through the RHTAC you can: Find basic information about refugees and their access to health care, learn about physical and mental health among refugees, download training materials and resources, join the mailing list to receive the newsletter, and attend webinars. Providers can also find resources for refugee clients in multiple languages.
